Steve Aldridge, the proprietor of Hickory Dickory Clocks, is a member of the Association of Professional Horologists, British Horological Institute and Guild of Master Craftsmen. He continues the tradition of clock repair and restoration spanning some three hundred years in the market town of Thirsk, North Yorkshire. His particular area of interest is carriage clocks but his expertise is also in demand for Longcase clocks, Barometers and Musical Boxes. Unusually, he has even been asked to work on a wartime bomb fuse.

His detailed and meticulous craftmanship has attracted commissions and repairs from Hong Kong, Canada and the United states and a number recently from Queensland, Australia.
