Ivor Hughes, of Mayfair Antiques, Otley, West Yorks specialises in French earthenware (faience, including Quimper), metalware, rustic artefacts, architectural antiques and continental decorative art. He also advises on cross-Channel business.

Now 42, he has been in the antiques business since 1985 with premises first in London and Hampshire. He opened at his current location in Yorkshire in April, 1998 and much of his core business is done between Mayfair Antiques in Otley and Northern and Western France. He occasionally exhibits at fairs in the area. He writes for publications including Antiques Trade Gazette, Yorkshire Life, Antiques Diary and Arts et Antiquites International.
